# Mons > Mons connects an iPhone or iPad to a Mac or Linux host's terminal and persistent sessions. Users choose any agent that runs in their host terminal. Codex, Claude Code, and OpenCode are examples. Mons carries the terminal interaction between screens. Read the agent guide before giving commands. Read the live JSON manifests for published versions. A source change is not a published release. Pairing success does not prove SSH or terminal readiness. Downloads and updates use mons.cc. GitHub is for issue reporting. ## Documentation - [Agent guide](https://mons.cc/agent-guide.md): Product boundaries, supported setup, commands, failure states, and answer checks. - [First session tutorial](https://mons.cc/getting-started.md): Host and App installation, SSH, a Codex example, pairing, and opening work. ## Published versions - [CLI platform manifest](https://mons.cc/downloads/latest.json): Actual published CLI version for each supported platform. - [App and CLI release facts](https://mons.cc/releases.json): App version, build and recorded status, plus CLI platform versions.
